The First Weekend in October

What a great novel title that would make. The First Weekend in October… I’m definitely storing that one for later. Anyway, I digress. That first weekend is going to be a busy one, so I want to make sure as many people as possible know about it.

Looe Festival of Words

This will be my third year at the book fair, which will be held on Saturday 3 Oct at the Hannafore Point Hotel in Looe. Over 20 local authors will be in attendance, ready to show their books, sign them, and have a chat. Pop along and check out the wealth of local talent.

This year, I’ve also been invited to talk to the U3A group in Duloe on Thursday 1st Oct. I’ll be bringing a small selection of my books with me and talking about books, my short stories, and how it all started. It’s open to non-members and free to attend, but space is limited so you’ll need to reserve your seat via meettheauthor@yahoo.com

Join me for an evening in conversation with musician Bobbo Byrnes.
Bobbo has spent years touring the US and Europe with his own spectacular brand of Americana. His tour diaries on Facebook have been a huge feature, and now he’s collated them into a fascinating account of life on the road.

We’ll be discussing our books and careers, our influences, and the similarities and differences between writing lyrics and prose. And I’ll confess the one thing that makes me so envious of songwriters!
